About USHR

Izzy Technical recruiter

As a recruiter, communication is everything. To me, communicating means - a lot - more than just talking. It’s a combination of speaking, writing, active listening, negotiating and even understanding. It is about adapting myself to the situation and the person I am talking to, and eventually gaining their trust in the process. It’s being a people person and being perceived as one, from the start to the finish. Above all; it is about maintaining an overview; a holistic perception of the context and the situation and putting all the pieces of the puzzle together. In simpler terms: matching the right candidate, with the right client.

Today, recruitment is more than posting vacancies and praying for a good outcome. It's about hunting, perstistance and creativity. Being part HR, part marketeer, part salesperson. I analyse website traffic, retarget visitors, create meaningful content and engage with potential candidates in a personal way. At USHR we're experienced with the full scope of recruitment, combining our skills in a truly multi-disciplinary and diverse team. Learning from each other and most of all: refusing to give up when things get tough.

Curiosity is the one thing which drives me throughout everything I do. I am curious to know both the person behind the resume, as well as the people behind the vacancy. This is how USHR ever came up with silhouettes (you’re reading one) in the first place.
It’s not only the people I am interested in though. I’m just as much interested in their job and the technologies involved. Personally, I am the prototype techie. At the age of 10, I built my first computer from scrap (386 running DOS on a floppy). Growing up I had the most useless servers laying around and in my room and you might have tripped over -possibly (non-)functioning- pieces of hardware. Understanding technology to a certain point helps a lot when you’re trying to communicate with IT professionals.
